Moving to Chicago

Apparently recent U of M grads aren't the only one to leave Ann Arbor for the greener pastures of Chicago. Julie Peterson, Michigan's chief spokeswoman, is apparently going to Chicago, too:

"Chicago is a better career choice for me, with new environments and new challenges," Peterson said. "I believe that change is really important - personally and professionally."
Ouch. I take that as a slap to the face, Julie. I can see why it would be professionally a good move, but personally? What, was Dominick's and Leopold Brother's and the Michigan Theatre not doing it for you anymore? Did you all of a sudden acquire a taste for the deep dish pizza served up at such notable establishments as Lou Malnati's Pizza? Frankly, I'm hurt. It's bad enough that Joe McBusiness School is taking a higher-paying job in the Windy City, but now our PR people? Fellow PR-er Lisa Rudgers left just 3 months ago. Who is left to spin the loss of PR people? Will U of M now become a "no-spin zone," much Sir Bill O'Reilly's popular news programme? Will Graham Brown enlist to become Michigan's Culture Warrior?

By the way, Julie, last I checked the Pistons are better than the Bulls, the Tigers are better than both your teams, you have no good college football teams, and the Blackhawks suck.
